Habitat for Humanity
International - Bangladesh (HFHI-B) seeks to eliminate poverty housing by
making decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. We provide
construction technical support and financial capital to low-income
families of all backgrounds, races and religions. HFHI-B works closely
with communities, volunteers, partner organizations and NGOs, taking a
holistic approach to development.
In response to the
urgent need for housing across Bangladesh, Habitat for Humanity was
established in 1999 in Mymensingh and has since increased services to 10
locations around the country. HFHI-B currently operates in rural areas,
focusing on building, renovations, repairs, Community-Based Disaster
Mitigation and Disaster Response. The organization operates as a branch of
Habitat for Humanity International. |
